THE ROLE OF TAY ETHNIC MINORITY WOMEN IN NA RI DISTRICT, BAC KAN PROVINCE IN APPROACHING AND MANAGEMENT OF HOUSEHOLD’s RESOURCE RESOURCES

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess the current status of Tay women 's role in approaching and managing household resources. Data for the study were carried out from the survey of 375 samples. Research shows that women play an important role in approaching and managing capital, science and technology, and access to information. The emperical survey results show that together with husband, Tay ethnic woman in Na Ri District, Bac Kan Province plays a key role in managing capital, borrowing and using capital, and accessing to ìnormation. In terms of scientific and technical access, women were able to participate in all training courses related to gender knowledge, household economic development, cultivation techniques, animal husbandry technique, forestation planting technique and disease prevention. Regarding access to information, women access information sources mainly from unions, relatives and markets. Based on the results obtained, some recommendations to promote the role of women in access to information and their resource management have been proposed.
