Abstract

The experiments were conducted in Autum - Winter crop of 2014 and Spring crop of  2015 in Bac Quang district, Ha Giang province, including 8 new hybrid maize varieties: VS71, LVN102, LVN111, LVN152, HT818, HT119, LVN26, LVN146 and control variety is NK4300.  Experimental results showed that: Hybrid maize varieties growing period from 103 to 109 days in the Autum - Winter crop, from 113 to 119  days in the Spring crop. Plant height of the experimental varieties ranged from 186.7 to 223.7 cm (Autumn-Winter crop 2014), from 210.6 to 232.1 cm (Spring crop 2015). In the Autum - Winter crop 2014, the theoretical yield of hybrid maize varieties in the experiment ranged from 6.43 to 8.41  tons/ha. In the Spring crop 2015 had the theoretical yield from 7.53 to 9.03 tons/ha. The actual yield of hybrid maize varieties in the experiment ranged from 4.92 to 6.86  tons/ha in the Autum - Winter crop 2014, from 5.06 to 7.5 tons/ha in Spring crop 2015. Through two trials, the LVN26 variety was best grown and developed in Autum - Winter crop, has the highest theoretical yield and actual yield, higher than the NK4300 control variety. The HT119 variety was best grown and developed in Spring crop has the highest theoretical yield and actual yield, higher than the NK4300 control variety.
