SOME MEASURES TO DEVELOP PROBLEM SOLVING CAPACITY FOR STUDENTS OF LITERATURE PEDAGOGY AT AN GIANG UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Developing problem-solving capacity for pedagogical students at universities is very important and is receiving special attention from educational institutions. This study aims to explore measures to develop problem-solving capacity for Literature pedagogy students at An Giang University with a sample size of 75 students from second to fourth year using the quantitative method to find out the awareness of students' problem-solving capacity, the extent of using teaching methods to develop lecturers' problem-solving capacity, and the current status of problem-solving capacity of Literature pedagogy students at An Giang University currently. Survey results show that students are not fully aware and are still passive in training to develop problem-solving capacity. Based on the study results, we propose solutions to develop problem-solving capacity for Literature pedagogical students, contributing to training a team of quality teachers to meet education innovation goals  today.
