THE CULTURAL BEAUTIES IN THE SANG CO OF THE SAN CHAY ETHNIC IN DINH HOA, THAI NGUYEN

Abstract

Sang co singing has become the soul of the San Chay ethnic, a characteristic form of performance and cannot be mixed with any other ethnic group. Sang co has also been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage in Phu Luong. Many research works on Sang co were also published, however, the intersection and attachment between the culture of the San Chay ethnic and the Sang co is still open. To address this issue, we used the literary fieldwork method, analyzing, synthesizing, comparing and interdisciplinary research methods in order to understand the relationship between Sang co singing and culture, especially the cultural beauties in the Sang co of the San Chay ethnic in Dinh Hoa. The results show that Sang co singing is a means of reflecting San Chay culture, reflecting the way of behavior, love and relationships within the family clan, etc. Based on that, the article affirms the close and inseparable relationship of the Sang co and the community culture of the San Chay ethnic in Dinh Hoa, Thai Nguyen.
