Employment Rate of Vietnamese Studies Post-Graduation: Current Status and Solutions

Abstract

This study surveys the national employment rate of Vietnamese Studies graduates from 2018-2021. Highlighting that while there is a high employment rate (83.83%), only 26.31% of graduates work in their field of study, with the majority (48.36%) working in unrelated fields. To improve the proportion of graduates working in their trained profession, the study suggests enhancing the curriculum, strengthening collaboration with businesses, and encouraging students to improve both their Foreign language proficiency, professional and soft skills
