AN OVERVIEW OF RESEARCHS OF BLOOD HEMATOLOGICAL, BIOCHEMICAL INDICATORS AND REPRODUCTIVE HORMONES ON GOATS

Abstract

This paper aims to present the current status of studies on physiological, biochemical and hormonal parameters of goats. Scientific works in recent years have evaluated these indicators on different goat breeds according to age, sex, different climatic and nutritional conditions. The studies also analyzed how goats of different breeds respond to climate effects to maintain their ability to adapt to the environment. Studies on estradiol and progesterone concentrations have shown plasma changes during different phases of the estrous cycle in goat breeds. In conclusion, regardless of breed of goat, the environment and rearing conditions can cause physiological, biochemical, hematological and hormonal changes. All of these changes have a significant impact on production and productivity. Therefore, it is necessary to study these indicators of goat breeds raised in Vietnam.
