LIVELIHOOD OF PEOPLE IN LONG SON (CASE STUDY OF SALT PRODUCTION AND OYSTER FARMING)

Abstract

Long Son is a locality full of favorable natural conditions for the development of salt production and oyster farming due to its location near the sea, year-round warm temperatures and suitable salt concentrations. Therefore, besides salt production with a long history, from the 2000s onwards, oyster farming has become a livelihood method of many households in Long Son. The article helps to clarify more about the two main livelihood methods of residents in Long Son as well as some factors affecting the change in the implementation of these two livelihood methods.
