SURVEY ON THE ACTIVENESS IN STUDY OF PEDAGOGICAL STUDENTS AT THU DAU MOT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The activeness in study of the students plays an important role affecting the academic performance, especially in the context at which the proactive learning methodology has been widely applied and it is also the mainstream method at undergraduate school. This study examines the activeness in study of first-year pedagogical students at Thu Dau Mot University. Its aim is to arouse and promote its advantages and minimize the limitations of students in the access and application of the proactive learning methodology. By applying interdisciplinary research methods of psychology and education studies, the survey results show that the students are appropriately aware of the importance and the effects of the activeness in learning. However, the activeness in learning in and out the class is also limited, and students have not expressed their self-discipline and activeness in learning. The survey results provide the basis for the preparation of learning methods and establish appropriate impacting measures to promote the activeness in study for pedagogical students.
