Study on solutions and calculation methods for underpass structures

Abstract

At present, Vietnam has no specific standards or regulations for the calculation of diaphragm wall structures in underpasses. This work is mainly carried out by foreign experts or based on standards from Russia, the United States, Japan, and others. However, differences in geological and hydrogeological conditions require further studies to select and adapt appropriate calculation methods to the local context. Therefore, within the scope of this study, several solutions and calculation methods are reviewed and evaluated to propose their applicability to Vietnam’s conditions.
