Adjustment of horizontal displacement value of diaphragm wall measured with Inclinometer

Abstract
The horizontal displacement results from in-situ monitoring are considered reliable data and are used to analyze stability during construction. However, the horizontal displacement result of diaphragm wall measured with Inclinometer based on assumption of fixed pipe bottom may lead to incorrect value due to movement of this position during excavation process. The adjustment is carried out based on the observed displacement value at the top of the wall or at the bracing point before activating bracing system. The calibration results of two proposed methods are consistent with simulation results and correction value is larger than measurement results considering fixed pipe bottom.
