Corporate criminal liability in Singapore’s Penal Code in comparison with Vietnam

Abstract
In Vietnam, corporate criminal liability remains a relatively new issue, which means that there are still many limitations and shortcomings in lawmaking and law application. For this reason, researching other countries’ lawmaking experiences for the purporse of learning from them and improving Vietnam’s criminal law is crucial. This article analyses the provisions on corporate criminal liability in Singapore’s Penal Code and highlights the similarities and differences between Singapore’s and Vietnam’s laws. On the basis of Singapore’s criminal legislative experiences, the article makes recommendations to improve the provisions on commercial legal entity’s criminal liability in Vietnam’s criminal law.
