PARACETAMOL USAGE SURVEY FOR STUDENTS OF VAN LANG UNIVERSITY

Abstract

Paracetamol is a medicine used to treat mild to moderate fever and pain, over-the-counter, popular in the world. Using a crosssectional description method and SPSS 22.0 software to process data, we conduct research to survey the knowledge, attitudes and practices of paracetamol use for students of Van Lang University and develop a reasonable, safe paracetamol manual. Collecting paracetamol use survey information for 1290 students, the results showed an association between students' knowledge and attitude to paracetamol use with p < 0,001; OR = 2,186; trust interval 95%: 1,415-3,379 and the association between the student's knowledge and practice of paracetamol use with p < 0.001; OR = 2,199; trust interval 95%: 1,411-3,426. Out of 104 students with the right knowledge, the proportion of students with good attitudes and good paracetamol practices were 70.2% and 76.9% respectively
