Abstract

We collected 15 RBD sequences of CoVs from the GenBank database (NCBI, USA). We solved the problem of multiple sequence alignment based on CoVs RBD, built an evolutionary tree and identified three CoVs subgenus Sarbecovirus, Merbecovirus and Embercovirus. The Sarbecovirus subgenus has a long evolutionary distance to Embercovirus 2.48226 and Merbecovirus 2.19391. In the Sarbecovirus subgenus, human SARS-CoV2 and pangolin CoV have the closest evolutionary relationship with the identity from 94.10 to 98.79 %. Next is human SARS-CoV2 and human SARS-CoV with the identity of 87.68 %. Human SARS-CoV2 and bat SARS-CoV, human SARS-CoV2 and bat CoV all had the identity of 85.14 %. This suggests that Sarbecovirus CoVs have the ability to evolve with different host ranges such as bat, pangolin and human
