HO CITADEL IN PHU YEN PROVINCE AND IT’S RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER RELICS OF CHAMPA
Abstract
The Ho citadel in Phu Yen province was first known in "Dai Nam nhat thong chi" with the name An Nghiep ancient citadel. Ho citadel plays a role as a powerful center of economy, culture, society, religion, and politics in the region. Along with Ho citadel, there are quite many other cultural relics of Champa in Phu Yen province, but most of them are ruins. In recent years, many authors have studied the Ho citadel but have not yet considered the position and relation of Ho citadel with Champa culture, and its vicinity (Kauthara belonging Kingdoms). From the archaeological perspective, this article presents an overview of Ho citadel relic in Phu Yen and considers its relation to the Champa relics in the region of Kathaura-Champa state in central Vietnam
