FINDING GENETIC RELATIONS OF THE SPECIES OF THE PENAEIDAE FAMILIA BASED ON INDICATION OF MITOCHONDRIAL 16S RIBOSOMAL RNA (16S-rRNA) GENE
Abstract
The 16S ribosomal RNA genes of three species of Penaeus vannamei in Vietnam were extracted and sequenced successfully. Twenty six species of the Penaeidae familia were classified into eight groups based on the indication of 16S ribosomal RNA gene. Group I has 5 species, group II has 4 species, group III has 5 species, group IV has 6 species, group V has 1 species, group VI has 1 species, group VII has 3 species and group VIII has 1 species. The genetic distance between group III and group V is nearest, 0.272. The genetic distance between group IV and group VII is farthest, 1.645. The genetic distance of group VII and group VIII is close to 0.342. The genetic distance between group VII, group VIII and the remaining groups is ranged from 1.153 to 1.645, this shows that shrimp species belonging to groups VII and VIII have a long genetic evolution relationship for most shrimp species of the Penaeidae familia from group I to group VI
