Impacts of strategic factors on corporate competitiveness in the digital era: The case of Viettel Group Enterprises

Abstract

In the context of strong digital transformation, improving competitiveness has become an urgent requirement for businesses, especially telecommunications businesses. This study was conducted to determine the impact of strategic factors on the competitiveness of businesses of Viettel Group. Data was collected from 215 respondents through an online survey (Google Form) and analyzed via using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results showed that the eight strategic factors in the proposed model all had a positive impact on the competitiveness of Viettel Group in the context of digital transformation. In which, digital transformation strategy has the strongest impact, followed by management capacity and financial capacity. The remaining factors, such as: Marketing capacity, IT infrastructure, human resources, brand value - reputation, and product - service quality also played an important supporting role in  perfecting the structure of comprehensive competitiveness of businesses in the digital transformation period. The study contributed both theoretically by expanding the framework for analyzing competitiveness in the digital context, and practically by providing managerial implications to help Viettel prioritize the development of strategies on technology, human resources and service quality to enhance competitive advantage in the digital age.
