Structured in the Perspective of New Realism: From Sociology to Kenneth Waltz

  • Hoàng Khắc Nam

Abstract

Structure is a great presumption in the study of international relations. The
concept of structure was first developed in sociology before being applied to international relations by the avant-garde Kenneth Waltz. All three common patterns of relations, distribution of capacities and rule of social structure have been inherited in international structure. However, international structure is not the same as social structure due to the differences between social system and international system.
