Abstract

THE ROLE OF THE FAMILY IN SPIRITUAL LIFE IN VIETNAM

A family is a small social unit, but it is an institution closely linked to each individual and has a dominant relationship with each individual. Recognizing the relationship between family and religion is a new approach that needs to be clarified to promote the positive functions of family in shaping the thinking and perception of family members of the family; on the contrary, it clarifies the role of religion in the formation of the Vietnamese lifestyle, personality and morality in order to contribute to the sustainable development of relations among family members and the implementation of family role in society. This article emphasizes the relationship between family & religion on some aspects as follows: 1) The family as a social unit directly practices religious activities; 2) The family with the function of educating, nurturing, protecting and formatting personality of human beings indirectly preserves forms of religious activities; 3) The family as a specific institution involves in the process of adjusting, directing religious thought, and developing religious values of its members.
