PUBLISHING PROCESS of Vietnamese Journal of Urbanism
1. Determine the main thematic content of each issue of the journal.
2. Commission/invite writers and collect articles that match the journal's thematic content.

3. Initial quality check of articles:
After receiving articles from authors, the Editorial Board will confirm receipt via email. The Editorial Board will then review the articles to ensure they meet the content requirements of the journal's categories and the regulations for scientific articles. They will also check information about the author, research ethics, plagiarism, etc. Articles that fully meet the standards and the journal's objectives will be approved and sent to the editorial board for a two-way blind peer review.

4. Send articles to peer reviewers:
The journal uses a blind peer review process throughout the review. Experts are selected based on criteria related to expertise, research activities, and the subject matter of the article. The peer review process takes 10 days to 1 month.

The results of the peer review may be: articles of good quality, requiring no or minimal revisions for grammatical errors; logical structure and presentation… may be approved for publication; articles that do not meet the requirements will be rejected.

5. Feedback to the author on the article status:

The Editorial Board will decide: to publish good articles; articles requiring no or minimal revisions;

The Editorial Board will request the author to revise the article according to the peer review comments on major issues. After the revisions are complete, the author will resubmit the article, along with an explanation outlining the points that have been revised or changed. The Editorial Board will review it again, and only if it is correct will it be approved for publication.

After the article is accepted for publication, the Journal will notify the author and issue a certificate if needed.

A decision to reject an article may be made, even after peer review has been approved, if the Editorial Board deems the article unsuitable for publication. The editorial office will inform the author of the reasons for rejection.

If the author has clear evidence that the article was rejected due to a scientific misunderstanding or biased evaluation, they may request the Editorial Board to reconsider the rejection decision. The final decision on whether or not to publish will rest with the Editor-in-Chief.

6. Editing
The Editorial Board edits the revised article based on peer review and the Editor-in-Chief's approval.

The editorial office forwards the edited articles to the design and layout team.
