Sustainable tourism is a growing trend worldwide, contributing to socio-economic development in various localities. However, current tourism development often occurs spontaneously and lacks cohesive planning,m management, and control, leading to negative impacts on the natural environment and indigenous cultures. To effectively harness tourism potential and optimize the use of natural and human resources, appropriate
and well-defined development measures and plans are crucial. This paper proposes solutions for effective and sustainable tourism development through spatial development orientation applied to the Mui Ca Mau National Tourist Area. It assesses potential values by identifying and zoning spaces, thereby determining tourism characteristics and functions suitable for each zone. Spatial development orientation plays a vital role in guiding tourism development, enabling the identification of suitable tourism products, efficient resource utilization, controlled development management, and the preservation of natural and cultural values towards sustainable development
