Human Instinct in Haruki Murakami’s writings

  • Trần Quang Hưng

Abstract

Human instinct is one of the interesting topics in the great literary works. In many of his works, Haruki Murakami has built up the human characters whose sexual instincts are attached to their primitive instincts. Sexuality is an effective communication channel among humans; the door into which the writer comes and discovers the human spiritual world. When exploiting sexual instinct issues, the writer could completely portray the characters’ psychological features with their desires and secret feelings. Humans with their sexual instincts have really become a means conveying the aesthetic and profound senses of the author.

Keywords: Human, sexual instinct, primitive instinct, Murakami.
