The estate economy of the french capitalists and its impacts on the economic and social changes in Phu Yen province in the early years of the 20th century
Abstract
Based on the restoration of the entire economic establishment processes by the French colonialists in terms of quantity, distribution, type of business, process of operation, the article analyzes the impacts of this policy on the socio-economic aspects of Phu Yen province in the early years of 20th century. The studies on the estate economy of the French colonial period also bring about some profound practical significances as beside its constraints, this new business model in agriculture also leaves some experience in farming and animal husbandry in large scale, especially the success of cattle raising, which contributes to the construction and development of Phu Yen agricultural economy in the current period.
