Study on formation of Callus and single cell of Pterocarpus Macrocarpus (Pterocarpus Macrocarpus Kurz) wood

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Javel concentration, sterilizing period, mineral environment, α-NAA concentration and plant growth medium on the process of Callus formation process. Results showed that young trunk Pterocarpus Macrocarpus sterilizing with Javel concentration (1 water: 1 Javel) for 4 minutes was found to increase the survival rate 86.67%. the young trunk Pterocarpus macrocarpus explant with the section along down on the medium induced the best callus (83.33% and 5.17 mm) with ½ MS medium with 30g/l sucrose, 8 g/l agar and 0.5mg/l α-NAA. The obtained single cell had an ellipse shape. This research is a prerequisite for further studies on single cell of Pterocarpus macrocarpus.
