The characteristics of Sino-Nom funeral oration in Binh Dinh province

Abstract

From the results of our fieldwork on Sino-Nom funeral oration in Binh Dinh province, we outlined the appearance of a special literary genre in Binh Dinh literature. The article continues to clarify the characteristics of the contents and artistic aspects of Sino-Nom funeral oration in Binh Dinh literature. As a genre that is concerned with the functions of sorrowful rituals, Sino – Nom funeral oration in Binh Dinh has provided new cultural values, contributing define the characteristics of Sino – Nom literature in Binh Dinh province.
