Social supervision and feedback in the management and use of land

Abstract

Social supervision and feedback are essential and urgent requirements of a democratic society. In particular, ensuring the right of social supervision and feedback of the people in formulation and implementation of laws has been gradually enhanced in recent years. This is especially important when people are empowered by the law to participate in state decisions (participate in management process) and participate in supervising the management process. Our state has transformed subsidized economy into market economy that is always associated with changing land management policies. Land law was born, amended and supplemented with new regulations to improve state’s land management institutions. The article focus on clarifying regulations on social supervision and feedback in the management and use of land, results and obstacles when implementing the regulations in practice. Since then, it has proposed a number of measures to further enhance the role and effectiveness of social supervision and feedback in the management and use of land in Viet Nam nowadays.
