Law on duties and powers of the management board of economic zones in protecting the environment in the economic zones in Vietnam

Abstract

An economic zone (EZ) is an area with a difference in boundary. An EZ has many functions including attracting investment, contributing to socio-economic development, protecting national defense and security. Therefore, environmental protection (EP) in EZ also differs from other areas with extremely strict requirements, requiring high organization. However, current regulations on duties and powers in environmental protection of the Management Board of EZ are overlapping and lack of practicality. This research aims to analyze, clarify and make recommendations to continue perfecting regulations on duties and powers of the Management Board of EZ.
