Year of national digital database: Initial steps to build a science and technology database in Thua Thien Hue province from the science

Abstract

    The current situation of science and technology databases and the application of information technology regarding management of science and technology projects in the province and effective management, exploitation, and investment in science and technology, it is clear that standardizing and synchronizing data throughout the implementation of science and technology projects all levels, from the provincial to the grassroots level, ensuring the connectivity, communication, and data sharing between information systems, science and technology databases within and outside the province, and other relevant agencies. This is the findings of the provincial research on “Researching and building a management system for science and technology projects in Thua Thien Hue province”. It is confirmed that the digital transformation of the science and technology sector is a crucial strategic breakthrough in the 4.0 industrial revolution. The development of science and technology and innovation aims to enhance productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness of the economy, making science and technology to become a real driving force for socio-economic development in the province.
