SEEING THE HUẾ ENAMELLED WARES COLLECTION BY LOAN DE FONTBRUNE IN PARIS
Loan de Fontbrune is a French, Vietnamese origin, a famous picture collector in Paris. In addition to ancient paintings, Loan de Fontbrune also devotes her passion for the antique contemplation of Huế region such as: royal attire of Nguyễn court, patterned porcelain and especially Huế Enameled wares.
According to the author of the article, all the Huế Enamelled wares in Loan de Fontbrune's collection belong to the most precious and rare items and have the dates of the Nguyễn Dynasties such as Minh Mạng, Made during the of Minh Mạng, Established in the reign of Minh Mạng, Made during the of Thiệu Trị, Established in the reign of Thiệu Trị, Made during the of Tự Đức, Established in the reign of Tự Đức... Most of the collection is utensils, its unique decorative themes with many very strange designs and bold the Nguyễn art imprints.
