Abstract

ABSTRACT
THE RECONSTRUCTION STUDY OF MỤC TƯ TEMPLE
Mục Tư temple, Long Đức temple and Chiêu Kính temple are the three temples having the same function of preparing sacrifices, with the same construction period, architectural form, dimensional scale of compartments. They belong to the monument complex of Thái Miếu temple in the Huế Citadel. While these ones of Long Đức and Chiêu Kính has been restored and reconstructed respectively, the one of Mục Tư which has been collapsed completely, has not been treated yet. According to the current survey results, the foundation and the entire system of column base supporting its column system are still intact and have not been displaced.
With arguments drawn from historical documents, combined with current survey results and a comparative analysis based on similar factors in the form of foundation, architectural proportions, etc... between Mục Tư temple and Long Đức temple, Chiêu Kính temple and other similar buildings of Huế monument complex, this article will present the possibility of reconstruction of Mục Tư temple.
