SPREADING CONFUCIAN THOUGHT ON COIN, A CREATION OF MINH MỆNH KING
For a long time of hundreds years, from the Trịnh-Nguyễn war to the one between Nguyễn Phúc Ánh and Nguyễn Văn Huệ... the hearts of people were separated, not knowing where to make the standard, in 1802, Nguyễn vương Phúc Ánh unified from Gia Đinh Province to Thăng Long Citadel, that was the foundation for unifying thoughts after the separation. According to the author, Minh Mệnh King relied on a coin praying the God, it was minted by Minh vương Nguyễn Phúc Chu, its back had 8 symbols “Quốc thái dân an, phong điều vũ thuận” (Peaceful country and People, favorable weather) which from 30 coins minted and noted these good symbols. Coin circulated among poeple, but was a form of spreading Confucian thought, it was a creation of Minh Mệnh King that other countries of the same culture did not have.
