ISSUES POSED IN THE STUDY OF SAN DIU LANGUAGE IN VIETNAM TODAY

Abstract

Currently, the San Diu ethnic group has the 15th largest population out of 53 ethnic minorities in Vietnam, mainly living in some northern provinces such as Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc... They all speak San Diu, but so far, this language has not been studied by scientists. In the framework of this article, we summarize the situation of studying San Diu language in Vietnam. In fact, most of the researches on San Diu language in Vietnam have only stopped at the phonetic level, and a few articles on vocabulary and semantics have begun to appear.
