PRESERVE AND PROMOTE CULTURAL HERITAGES OF THE KATUIC BRANCH IN THE VIETNAM - LAOS BORDER AREA

Abstract

The ethnic groups belonging to the Katuic language branch (also known as the Co Tu - Bru branch) include: Ta Oi, Co Tu, Bru - Van Kieu. They live mainly along the border between Vietnam and Laos. These ethnic groups also preserve many unique tangible and intangible cultural heritages, some of which have been included in the national intangible cultural heritage list. Up to now, the common cultural heritages of these ethnic groups have been contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the community, friendship between ethnic groups in the border areas and Vietnam - Laos friendship.
