SOME ISSUES OF LAND POLICY RESEARCH IN NORTHWESTERN ETHNIC MINORITIES REGION

Abstract

The State’s land policy for ethnic minorities areas is special importance in migration and resettlement when hydropower projects are implemented. The process of amending and supplementing the Land Law represents the State’s relentless efforts to overcome inadequacies, especially in ethnic minorities areas in the Northwest. The implementation of land policies has contributed to economic development and poverty reduction. However, besides the achievements, there are still limitations, so it is necessary to conduct policy studies to grasp the aspirations of the affected ethnic communities, so that the land policy can be completed and more effective.
