SYSTEMATIZING AND EVALUATING RESEARCH WORKS ON ETHNIC POLICIES OF VIETNAM FROM 1986 TO THE PRESEN

Abstract

Systematizing and evaluating researches on ethnic policies is a statistical activity, gathering studies on ethnic policies, and arranging these works according to a set of defined criteria, into a whole, a system to facilitate the formation of an overall, general and comprehensive view of ethnic policy. From the theoretical basis of “systematizing” and “evaluating” research works on ethnic policy (from 1986 up to now), the successes and shortcomings, gaps in ethnic policy research and promulgation of ethnic policies have been found. On that basis, recommendations and enactment of ethnic policies in the period of 2019-2025 and the next period are aimed at implementing well the Party’s renovation policy in the period of accelerating the cause of industrialization, modernization and international economic integration in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
