ECONOMIC COOPERATION BETWEEN RESIDENTS OF QUANG BINH PROVINCE (VIETNAM) AND KHAM MUON PROVINCE (LAOS)

Abstract

In the course of history, residents of ethnic groups along the Vietnam – Laos border, Quang Binh and Khammouane provinces have had close relationships, community, intercourse and close marriages, making an important contribution to building a special relationship between the two countries, protecting and preserving the sovereignty of national borders. Based on the special relationship of Vietnam - Laos, the results of cooperation, especially economic cooperation between residents of Quang Binh - Khammouane provinces have played an important role, contributing to the development of socio-economy of each locality in the first years of the 21st century. This is one of the important factors to further tighten the cooperation relationship between the two provinces in particular and the two peoples of Vietnam - Laos in general.
