THE ROLE OF THE COMMUNITY IN PROTECTING AND PROMOTING THE TRADITIONAL CULTURAL VALUES OF SAN DIU ETHNIC IN VAN DON ISLAND DISTRICT, QUANG NINH PROVINCE

Abstract

Deeply aware of the community role in protecting and promoting the cultural heritage values of ethnic groups, the article focuses on analyzing and assessing the situation of protection and promotion of the San Diu people’s cultural heritage values in Van Don island district, Quang Ninh province through information of field surveys, in-depth interviews, sociological surveys... Since then, clarifying the community role as both the subject of creation, nurturing and transmission of cultural heritage, there is the role of autonomy, self-management, self-determination of protection activities and promoting the cultural heritage values in the community. The article also analyzes the impact factors and positioning of huaman resources contributing to the protection and promotion of the cultural heritage values of San Diu people in the present period.
