Abstract

19 bronze drums, over 40 objects closely related to bronze drums and over four thousand other artifacts were unearthed by archaeologists at the ancient tomb area in Thach Trai Son (Tan Ninh, Van Nam, China) from 1955 to 1966. Based on that, an unconvincing conclusion was made that the Dien (Chinese) manufactures and uses bronze drums and the Dien area is the division center of the bronze drum of Thach Trai Son type. Therefore, through this article, the author makes the arguments and evidence that has been studied for a relatively long time to prove that the conclusions of Chinese bronze drums researchers are not scientific enough. At the same time, asserting the view: Dien drum is a paragraph drum type with no chance of developing into any type of drum in the future. Along with the destiny of the Vietnamese people, the Dien drum is a derivative of the Dong Son drum made by Lac Viet people.
