THE ETHNIC MINORITIES LANGUAGE IN THE MEDIA IN VIETNAM

Abstract

Communication activities by ethnic minorities languages are aimed at the main target of ethnic minorities, helping ethnic minorities have a separate space to receive information and express their aspirations.This article presents reality of language communication and some issues that are posing for ethnic minorities languages in communication (radio and television) in Vietnam today. The principle is respect for the right to freedom of expression; ensure equality and personal rights; respect for cultural and linguistic diversity...; From there, propose some solutions for: Requirements for language; native language; writing; words; the role and responsibility of the media, to improve the effectiveness of the use of ethnic minorities languages in communication.Communication in ethnic minority areas must provide listeners, viewers with interesting content, realistic and current images..., and should be expressed in or accompanied by ethnic minority languages. In particular, the language must be concise, coherent, easy to listen and understand. In the media, language has both a role of content transmission and a traditional cultural component and a means of community connection. Thanks to its use, the ethnic language has a reason to exist and develop, becoming sharp and rich in vitality.
