Abstract

The article aims to measure and identify the factors affecting the financial literacy of students in Vinh Long province. The study used quantitative methods with Logit binary regression model with primary data from 586 students of colleges and universities in Vinh Long province. Regression results show that out of 9 independent variables, there are 5 variables that affect financial literacy of students, including: outcome learning; the level of viewing news about the economy and finance; overtime experience; parents’educational attainment and the extent to which parents discuss finances with their children. From there, the article proposes some recommendations to contribute to improve the financial literacy of students in the area in the near future.
