Suggestions for promoting foreign direct investment to Vietnam
Abstract
A country’s economy depends heavily on foreign investment, which is one of the most significant types of international trade. In line with the trend of global production, many multinational corporations are looking for opportunities to relocate their manufacturing facilities to locations with access to skilled labor, natural resources, and other favorable conditions for attracting foreign investment and boosting Vietnam’s competitiveness abroad. However, there have been several difficulties due to the intense competition between nations to attract FDI and a surge of FDI movement following the global health catastrophe brought on by the Covid-19 outbreak. This article focuses on examining the current situation using secondary data, identifying problems and obstacles, and then making suggestions for the future.
