Efficacy of Ji Kang pharmaceutical products to growth rate and disease resistance of chicken

Abstract

The objective of this study aimed at evaluating the efficacy of Ji Kang pharmaceutical products
to the growth rate and disease resistance of the chickens raising at the experimental farm of Bac
Giang Agriculture and Forestry University. The routine methods were used for assessment of
growth rate, survival rate, feed conversion rate (FCR), productivity and disease resistance of the
experimental chickens. The studied result showed that the survival rate of chickens at 12 weeks
old in two experimental groups with Ji Kang pharmaceutical products adding into feed reached
89.26% - 94.81%; and the average body weight reached 2340g and 2580g, respectively. The
FCR of chickens in the experimental groups was lower in comparison with chickens in the control
group (2.52 vs. 2.68). The meat rate of the experimental chickens reached 71.73% - 72.33%, the
disease infection rate of the experimental chickens was also low (3.33% - 5.55%).
