Prevalence of Leptospira in pigs raising in some Northern mountainous and midland provinces, Viet Nam
Abstract
Prevalence of Leptospira in pigs raising in four provinces (Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Hoa Binh and LaoCai) of Viet Nam was detected by using Microscopic Agglutination Test (MAT). The average prevalence

The prevalence range was in Phu Tho (15.93%), in Hoa Binh (8.15%), in Bac Giang (5.56%) and in Lao
Cai (1.48%). 11 different Leptospira serovars were determined and the most prominent serovars were L.
semaranga (39.58%), L. icterohaemorrhagiae (16.67%), L. autumnalis, L. pyrogenes, L. tarassovi (7.29%),
L. bataviae, L. canicola (6.25%) and L. hebdomadis (5.21%
