Approach to Popular Culture by Vietnamese Students at Present: Modes and Solutions

Abstract

    Students represent the future workforce of the country, with their potential, intellect, and intelligence determining the country's development both in the near and far future. Students are knowledgeable, with vitality, dynamism, creativity, and awareness to new things, easily grasping and absorbing new and positive things, and distinguishing them with the negative ones and those not wanting renovation. Therefore, it is possible to assert that students are the social stratum where the reception and integration of culture, and the selection of  types of popular culture, are demonstrated most clearly and fully. If equipped with a good cultural background, they will know how to choose the appropriate popular cultural products, approaching the quintessence of the culture of humanity while preserving and bringing into play the national identity.
