Abstract

The article analyses readers’ attitudes through their assessment towards media discourses about Quang Nam - Da Nang tourism on Vietnamese websites. Data were collected from the survey using questionnaires. The method used in the study is descriptive statistics. The tool used to analyse the data is Stata statistical software. The analytical framework is based on the theory of multimedia discourse analysis and sociology. Analysis results show that, the reviews of readers are mostly positive. However, those reviews depend on the rating criteria and social characteristics of the reader. On the basis of that analysis, the article gives a few recommendations to increase the effectiveness of media discourse on Vietnamese websites as well as contribute to the development of tourism in Quang Nam - Da Nang in the present time.
