Factors affecting household income of agricultural cooperative members in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province

Abstract

Using the quantitative model approach, the article quantifies the factors affecting the household income of agricultural cooperative members (SOEs) in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province. Results show that external, internal factors and policy mechanisms have a certain influence on the household income of members in the cooperative. Internal factors such as the new type of state-owned cooperative, the director’s seniority, the ability to provide services, and product consumption have a very positive impact on member households. In particular, the estimation results also show that factors of production technology, policies to support the development of cooperatives and infrastructure have a very positive influence on income from agricultural production activities of households family members. The results of this study allow us to suggest some policy implications to improve the household income of the cooperative members in Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.
