To develop the fisheries sector in Phu Yen province in the orientation of sustainability

Abstract

Phu Yen is a coastal province in the Central Coast region, with favorable natural conditions for the development of the fisheries sector (aquaculture, fishing and processing). However, in the process of implementing the fisheries sector of the province is facing many difficulties and challenges such as climate change, sea level rise, hazards of natural disasters, decreasing fishery resources, and stricter technical barriers on quality, hygiene, food safety, and environment. Therefore, the sustainable development of the fisheries sector in Phu Yen province needs to have appropriate solutions to ensure harmonious socio-economic development, environmental protection, and security protection. Sea and island sovereignty is also a necessary issue in the current period.
