Challenges in preserving the traditional cultural values of the Chut ethnic group

Abstract

In recent years, the Vietnamese government has implemented many policies to support the Chut ethnic people for sedentary cultivation and social and economic development, so people’s lives have been significantly improved. Accordingly, traditional cultural values have been more or less restored and preserved. However, there are still many difficulties and challenges in preserving the traditional cultural values of the Chut ethnic group. Based on the results of documentary research and field research in mountainous regions of Quang Binh province - the main residence of the Chut ethnic group, this paper focuses on the following primary contents: traditional culture, challenges and solutions in preserving the typical traditional cultural values of the Chut ethnic group.
