Abstract

The diseases of dried branches and dried fruits are dangerous for coffee plants. Results of isolating 55 coffee samples in Dak Nong province with 3 main groups of fungi causing dried branches and dried fruits showed that Colletotrichum CC1.5 group has the ability to cause fast and strong disease. Among these 21 strains of Bacillus sp. isolated in primary forest land and healthy coffee garden land in Dak Nong, Bacillus subtilis strain ĐR2B1 has good resistance to Colletotrichum CC1.5 in the direct antagonistic method of 67.41% and diffuse through the 24.67 mm agar after 6 days of culture on PDA. This study provides more further information on antagonistic bacteria for controlling Colletotrichum causing dried branches and dried fruits of coffee plants.
