Abstract

CND micro-emulsion bioproducts (chitosan - neem - cashew nut shell extract) was a combination of three micro-emulsion bioproducts included chitosan, neem oil and cashew nut shell extract. It was one of the products from nature, with resistance to insects and pathogenic microorganisms, and used as a plant protection product which had biologically original one. The oral acute toxicity LD50 of CND bioproducts was evaluated on Mus musculus var. albino by the Litchfield - Wilcoxon’s method. The treatments of acute toxicity were divided into 5 groups: Cashew nutshell extract, neem, chitosan, neem - chitosan and chitosan - neem - cashew nutshell extract. In each group, mice were treated with the dose of 2g/kg/day, 5g/kg/day, 15g/kg/day and 30g/kg body weight/day for 10 days in the experiment. After 10 treatment days, mice were active and eating normally; normal eye pupils; there were no signs of shortness of breath or cyanosis; the hair was smooth, the mice had dry faeces... CND micro-emulsion bioproducts did not cause acute toxicity LD50 for Swiss mice.
