Abstract

Nowadays, there are many methods, tools that can be used to improve the productivity in productions, reducing production cost and increasing their profit. One of them is the Lean Manufacturing (Lean). Lean can be count as an efficient tool which is applied in manufacturers to minimized wasteful expenditures and satisfy their customers better. In the worldwide, Japanese manufacturers specially have applied Lean for a long time ago and they were very successful to develop their business. In Vietnam, the number of garment manufacturers applied Lean in production are still limited while most of manufacturers in the world which applied Lean have got success.

With a view to help garment manufacturers getting knowledge of Lean completely and that is a base for garment manufacturers in general and SaiGon 2 Garment JSC in particular to apply confidently Lean in production. This article present all matters which are concerned to Lean such as: Principle, benefits, advantages and disadvantages and results when applying Lean in production
